Likeable
Lately, I've encountered so much s#!%-talking about other people that I wonder about my own likeability. I have been pretty naive to think that I am liked by everyone. The truth has to be that someone I know really doesn't think I'm that great. I always felt that I could pick and choose whom to care about and whom not to. My reason for liking others reflected how they felt about me. If I got the feeling they thought I was arrogant or ridiculous or self-centered, I would try harder to get them to feel otherwise. Why do I feel the need to bend over backwards to be popular? Wasn't that supposed to end when I finished junior high?
