I'm done.

Blogging for one year....

I'm finished with it.

Thanks!

"I sure don't like folks what don't speak right...."

Correct grammar.

Is that really too much to expect from POTUS?

This Day Won't End.

Please make it stop.

Good will....

When I'm sick, my good will towards men and women wears thin.

Impatience

Yesterday, at the Hertz rental office, several upper-middle class business people were forced to wait 45 minutes in line to pick up their rental cars. The people were Hertz Gold Club customers, and apparently, there had been some kind of telecommunications snafu, which had prevented them from checking in from the terminal. Many of these customers were complaining vehemently, asking for discounts or full refunds or demanding to speak to the manager.

And this was only about an hour's wait. Over a car.

"Hope and order and restraint and compassion," my ass.

Kanye West: "George Bush doesn't care about Black People."

Girl, I don't know how you can be offended by this, since your name isn't "George Bush."

Some people....

I had the displeasure of reading this guy's assessment of the Hurricane disaster and why he can't feel empathy. Really deep.

From his perspective, I suppose it can be difficult to empathize with people who live in houses and have families and have lost everything in a natural disaster.

The next time there is a catastrophe at the annual yuppie regatta, I'll think of him.

"Fraudience"

A columnist on salon.com made reference to this new phenomenon in televised performance.

I take it to mean an audience that was bought and paid for by the network sponsoring the show.

Lame.

Good ol' American journalism

How to tell a looter from a scavenger.

Late Registration

I bought the album yesterday.

Kanye is wonderful.

The Hurricane

Katrina is "dismantling" Gulfport, and apparently there was extensive damage in New Orleans overnight.

I wonder how the French Quarter held up. The levee system seemed to be working, but several pumps failed in the lower 9th district.

MTV Video Music Awards

Two words:

Who cares?

It's hot

Why don't I have air conditioning in my house? What is my landlord's deal?
